#4.9 MIB 29.09.16 CALL RECORDER FOR SKYPE 2.5.22 UPDATE#
konvert: 1.3.6.1.1.8.8.2.5 Scan components (pattern, engine) update notification konvert: 1.3.6.1.1.8.8.2.4 Violation of the URL-blocking and URL Filtering rules I've got something /Device/Linux that's not inheriting the ethernetCsmacd perf template :/ So, I seem to be getting a couple heartbeat failures on my zenoss box, what's the best way to troubleshoot those? no i want to know how i can figure this out? SDuensin: Always- caffination is a prereq to ahrd work konvert: Do you know what each of these traps mean already? Otherwise, Cygwin is f'ed in the head and I'll have to figure out why. So I'm *hoping* it's a POSIX ACL that's wrong. konvert: Gotcha- and you need to figure what these traps mean and put in transforms? Now I've got the Cygwin SSHD not installing because it tells me /var/run needs to be writable by both whoever installed SSHD and Administrators. SDuensin: Ah thats right- the remote execution problem I made an entire "package" we're pushing out. SDuensin: I've been tinkering with WMI against Win2K8 konvert: Would you mind emailing me the mibs to take a peek at? 10:01:18] konvert: or 10:01:33] Greetings. konvert: Are there many? What type of device? I may have pretranslated ones I can share. Hackman238: for translating some traps for some of my machines
#4.9 MIB 29.09.16 CALL RECORDER FOR SKYPE 2.5.22 HOW TO#
Sam-I-Am: and how to resolve the last problem, because i use the right community string an no other devices are trying to connect with snmp or the community string didnt have access to certain oids the device was accessed with an incorrect community string Sam-I-Am: what does this trap mean? that the community string i use in zenoss is not correct, or that some other device tries to read the snmp with the wrong community string? Sam-I-Am: zenoss is our only snmp receiver Hackman: that would be way to complex for me konvert: Or write a python script to read them and create a objexts.xml in zope xml markup to import the mibs directly as objects someone or something had a login problem konvert: depending on how complex the mibs are you might be able to clean up the mibs by hand ok will try to figure out what the traps mean and then make an event transform if your MIB doesn't have it, Zenoss can't translate it
If you open your MIB file, can you find that OID? jmp242 in your example it is correct until the last part cause the Egor one, under disk, provides IO Bytes and Disk Queue for me

tsener: do you use any of the Windows Zenpacks provide any "translation" for the OID that I can see anyone knows how can I monitor disk io utilization on a windows machine ? wait, netdisco site says it might be a port # for a 48 port switch? 45 I can't find any reference for that tree existing from the various quick google searches on MIBS on the net usually if it can somewhat resolve the MIB it will do so though. however, it can use multiple MIB files to do so through something like inheritance but I think it has to be able to resolve that whole number yes Mmmm, I don't actually know MIB files that well. that whole list of numbers has to be in the mib files or not? so but i have for example this trap from a 3com device What you can do is use an event transform in Zenoss to make the event say whatever you want (assuming you actually know what the trap is trying to say) some vendors like having 5 different MIB files for one device for some reason or that you don't actually have the MIB file that defines the specific trap you're getting konvert: it's possible the MIB file is crap I also watched in the mib files and didn't found the specific traps the machine sends. but after uploading the mib files, the traps aren't translated. but i now have the mib files, i know how to upload the files with the command line in zenoss i know i have to upload the specific mib files from the vendor. i have problems with some traps zenoss doesn't translate who can help me with a problem with zenoos is this possible? we had proper schedules and proper alerting, but after some manipulations, it stopped doing that right.
Now Zenoss's alerting in wrong schedule period. How do I add a event transformation? I want to add a transformation for net to show percentages.
